I made two additions to my little shop over at Etsy. I listed two of my stitch marker sets. I
have a couple of other sets but am having some difficulty with my photography. My camera and I don’t get along all the time. I am using a preset option, the lighting source is identical each time, and the setting/background is the same each time, yet the photos don’t come out the same. My biggest concern is getting the background to photograph a similar shade of blue. I may be just a bit of a perfectionist.
When I fiddle with the tint or contrast
settings to get a true color representation of the product, I end up with different background blues. I would appreciate any hints or suggestions anyone can offer. I know one fix would be to go for a transparent (white) background generated on the computer. But I find that so unappealing and drab. I also don’t have Photoshop and extensive knowledge in photo editing. I am currently using GIMP 2 a free application similar to Photoshop. It has been at least six years since I used Photoshop with moderate degree of competency. However, Gimp seems to be very comparable.
